Jamming Device This one is very sweet. Less unified than the last three, but it doesn't feel disjointed; instead it's expansive, offering a lot of variety. "The Ways" took me probably at least a dozen passes before it finally grew on me. "Cantorum" introduced me to Penguin Cafe, and it was love at first listen. "Galerie" is perfect. And "Eyes Closed and Traveling" is the best thing I've heard from Peter Broderick yet. Even Woodkid is here (with Bobby De Niro?!)!

Edward Certainly my most played album of 2017, a collection of 11 beautiful and inspiring tracks. Brilliance on the part of Mr. Robert Raths to have such talented artists on Erased Tapes, and his vision in arranging the track order on this record. The replay value is endless, possibly my favorite compilation ever. Grateful to have been introduced to so many talented musicians through this album. Absolutely magnificent.

This release covers such a wide array of colorful sounds, and their attention to that aspect creates a satisfying space. 10/10 Favorite track: Cantorum.

Commencing the 10th anniversary celebrations with a free compilation entitled Erased Tapes Collection VIII, Erased Tapes also welcomes the iconic Penguin Cafe to the roster amongst tracks from new signing Daniel Brandt (of Brandt Brauer Frick) and Peter Broderick’s duo project Allred & Broderick. It also includes recent compositions by Rival Consoles, A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Ben Lukas Boysen, Douglas Dare and Immix Ensemble & Vessel, as well as a previously unreleased Ryan Davis remix of Erased Tapes stalwarts Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm which was recently favoured by Aphex Twin and an exclusive edit of Woodkid & Nils Frahm’s score for JR’s Ellis, with spoken words by Robert De Niro.
